October 27-31st :)

I have a whole bunch of fun pictures to post. Unfortunately, they are sitting nice and snug in the computer that decided to keep everything locked up nice and tight and never let us in again. Boo. Thankfully, I backed all of the pictures up last May, so I've got everything before then. Just nothing since. I am not happy about that. Not happy at all.
Here's a little bit of randomness from the last few days of October:
Our theme for Young Women in Excellence was centered around sunflowers (can you tell?). The YW each decorated a flower pot around their chosen project, and then we (leaders) spent hours the day of filling their pots with these beautiful arrangements. This picture really doesn't do it justice.
We didn't make it to the pumpkin patch until right before Halloween this year. There wasn't as much to do as the one we went to last year, but how can you pass up a train ride to get out to the patch and a boat ride coming back in? Hands down (at least for Spencer), the train wins.
(His face says it all, doesn't it?)
Hehehehehe! I got one of him kind of smiling. This was the goal for the day-I succeeded! Mmmwahahaha!
The view from the pumpkin patch. The colors don't look very brilliant here because of the clouds-but they were!
Boat ride back in. There were pirates, sea monsters, even Jaws!
I love that the kids are into doing this icky part! I'll sit back and take pics, thanks.
The Ward Harvest Party on Saturday night.
Dave, er. . .Jack Sparrow working on his pumpkin masterpiece for the decorating contest.
Dry paint! Dry! Next time, might I suggest face paint?
Justin and his two good buddies, Skyler and Josh. It's awesome that with trunk-or-treat a seven year old can head out with his friends with no supervision :)
On Sunday, we had a little family Halloween party. We made root beer (with dry ice and everything-which by the way, is really hard to find nowadays), and let the candy take care of itself while we sat back and watched 'Hocus Pocus' - a traditional 'must do' in our house ever since Abbie's scare at Gardner Village years ago (which is a story for another day. . .).
