Abbie is no. 12
skid. . ."Travel!" I have no idea how often they sweep the floors in the school gyms. But I dare say it is almost never. There is always so much dust, the kids skid everywhere.
Abbie is one of the faster ones on her team and she loves to steal, so she's is often on the breakaway.
I love this pic. I think it tells a story. Abbie is moving on, obviously having made the free throw. The left side of the line is on the ball and in motion. The right side is still standing there, like they are still waiting for her to shoot.
I don't have many of Ty. Dave was on picture duty, I was on ballet driver duty. He did great. Obviously, he zoomed in, whereas I stay zoomed out (because it moves so fast, I'm afraid my subject will be out of frame before I snap). I take 40 pictures to get 10. He takes 7 to get 3.
This boy could seriously rival Karl Malone in the acting category (no. 13, not Ty). We've played him before and I SO remember him.
Abbie is done for the year. Ty has another game on Saturday. We are hoping he can play without trouble. He has shin splints and has had to stop running for the time being. He is trying to bike several miles a day to help keep him in shape, hoping he can still run the 1/2 marathon in April.
