Piano Pouncing

For the first time in it's life, our piano is being fought over. A few weeks ago, Ty came home wanting to play "Mission: Impossible" on the piano. Determined guy that he is, he set to work (over two hours worth in one night) figuring out how to play it. I know we have my nephew Jacob to thank for making the piano seem pretty dang awesome, and Jacob can sit down and play all of this great stuff by ear (SOooo not fair, but anyway. . .I digress). Dave had this idea to buy both Ty and Abbie their own "Easy Piano" books, of whatever they wanted. His mistake was of course, sending me to the music store with them. I only bought one book. . .for each of us, I swear! I have always wanted to play Rag Time, but it is way beyond my ability. So I bought me an 'easy piano' rag time book and am loving it! When I can catch a turn at the piano that is. . .
Not sure if you can really see it in the pic below, but this is Ty's book open to the song he's been working on. A little evidence of Cheetos fingers and basketball finger residue. I'm really going to have to wipe down the keys before I teach again, aren't I?
