This year, we found a night to visit Zoolights on a lovely Oregon rain kind of night. Steady, but so fine that you don't even know you're getting rained on. Not even umbrella worthy. Awesome.
Our Christmas tradition holding true, we pulled right into an excellent parking spot that someone was vacating. Generally, this tradition is coupled with the slowest lines in the world. However, thanks to the gift of our season pass, we even got to bypass the ugly lines :) Awesome. Teen Scroogie playing along. Kind of.
Look! It's a teenager smile! Pretty awesome.
Santa Claus, scary. Six foot otter, not scary. I couldn't get the camera ready fast enough. This is just after Spence gave the otter the biggest, longest bear hug of all time. Awesome.
Polar bear received a giant hug too. Spencer excitedly suggested Ty get a hug too. He even tried to take Ty by the hand and lead him over. Ty kindly declined. You'd think his Mom was close by with a camera in hand and he just KNEW she'd blog the pictures for all to see. . .
Abbie loves to have her picture taken, unlike teenager. . .I wonder if that will change in the future?
Stopping for hot chocolate at 7-Eleven afterwards, awesome.
The car not starting and needing to call a tow truck after that, NOT awesome.
Having family close enough to drive four of us home at 9pm, Totally awesome :)
