A Little Christmas in January

One of the Christmas traditions in our house is that Dave buys me a Santa each year. Some are traditional, some cultural, some are goofy, but I love them all. I always look forward with anticipation to opening it each year. Dave is quite creative and I am almost always surprised.
This year, I knew Santa had to wait for post-Christmas. The situation was just not one that could allow this Santa to arrive beforehand. I knew, when the time was right, that Dave had been doing a bit of online Santa searching. Weeks passed without delivery until one day a package came in the mail:
Dave was as surprised as I was that the delivery was from Russia. He knew what he bought, he just didn't know how authentic they were going to be! It was such a FUN surprise!
I unwrapped the package, and then started to open the nesting dolls. I opened, and opened, and opened! One of them had a small Russian coin in it. I don't know if that is something of a tradition or not. Something to research!
The detail is of course, amazing!
